Mr. Granillo Ocampo received a Master in Law (LL.M.) degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2003 and an Abogado degree, with honors, from the University of Buenos Aires Law School, Argentina, in 1999.  During years 2003-2004 he worked as international associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s New York office.

Mr. Granillo Ocampo is a member of the bar in Buenos Aires and New York.

Mr. Granillo Ocampo’s practice is primarily focused in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, finance and commercial law, and has structured, participated and provided legal advice to local and foreign clients in their regional and Argentine investments.

Mr. Granillo Ocampo acted as lead counsel to Estrella International Energy Services Ltd. (TSX.V: EEN), an oilfield services company, from its first rounds of mezzanine financing to its IPO in the Toronto Venture Exchange, and in its acquisitions in Colombia and Chile and debt financings and restructurings. He acted as lead counsel in several mergers and acquisition transactions for private equity funds Advent International Limited (in the management buy-out of OCA, in the acquisition of Laboratorio LKM S.A., and in the sale of Nuevo Banco Comercial and Investa), Hicks Trans American Partners (in its acquisition of Grupo Pilar S.A., Alimentos Pilar S.A. and El Desafío Mountain Resort) and PCP Inversiones (in its sale of Officenet and Coffice).  He acted as lead counsel of Corporación Farmacéutica Recalcine in its acquisition of Laboratorios Northia and Fada Pharma, the leading generic drug companies in Argentina.

He is also a writer of articles on his areas of practice for the specialized press. Additionally, Chambers & Partners -the world's leading guide of the legal profession- has recognized him as one of the leading lawyers in his field of practice in the Argentine legal sector.
